Privacy Policy

DeckDuel is built to be private by default. The short version: we don't collect your data, because the app never sends it anywhere.

What DeckDuel processes on your device

Study material you provide (pasted text, PDF and text files) is processed entirely on your iPhone by Apple's on-device Foundation Models to generate quiz questions. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party.
Your profile (a display name and avatar you choose), decks, questions, scores, streaks, and match history are stored in a local database on your device only.

Local multiplayer

Versus matches use Apple's Multipeer Connectivity to talk directly to a nearby friend's device over local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Your display name, avatar, and match data (questions, answers, scores) are exchanged directly between the two devices. Nothing passes through our servers — we don't have any.

What we don't do

No accounts, and no collection of names, emails, or contact details.
No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
No transfer of your study material or gameplay data off your device.

Purchases

DeckDuel Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of that data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

Data retention & deletion

All app data lives on your device. Deleting the app deletes your decks, history, and profile. There is nothing for us to erase server-side.

Children

DeckDuel does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
